The event, always held a week before the main Emmy Awards ceremony, took place at the Nokia Theatre, L.A. Live.
Dancing with the Stars contestant Bono and his longtime girlfriend were clearly crowd favorites on the carpet.
Others attending the event the honors many of the behind-the-scenes TV professionals wereJulia Stiles, Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romjim, Glee's Chris Colfer and Kathy Griffin.
Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer and the show's creator Chuck Lorre are among the presenters of the event that ironically went head-to-head with the taping of the Comedy Central Charlie Sheen Roast Saturday night.
The 2011 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards airs on ReelzChannel September 17.
