Married NJ Mayor Chris Myers Resigns: "Gay Prostitution Scandal" !!

Chris Myers resigned as mayor of Medford, New Jersey Monday, just a month after insisting he would not quit because of allegations he'd paid for gay sex.
“My work commitments will not allow me to devote the time that is needed in the months ahead,” the married Myers, 46, wrote in a letter to the township manager and clerk.
What those "work commitments" are is uncertain because last week Myers parted company with his other employer, Lockheed Martin. A company representative said the Republican’s alleged scandal caused workplace distractions, The Courier Post reports.
Prior to his resignation, Myers had missed several council meetings in Medford, a city of 23,000 near Philadelphia. There had been numerous calls for his resignation since the allegations went public.
According to The Courier Post, the scandal began when an anonymous person, claiming to be a male escort, launched a website with photos allegedly depicting Myers in his underwear in a California hotel room. The website also showed alleged pictures of Myers’ open wallet and mayoral ID card.
The escort claimed Myers, the married father of two, paid $500 for sex, but then balked on coming through with a promised car and other gifts.
The website has since been taken down.
Myers has consistently denied the allegations, and made no mention of them in his surprise resignation letter.
