Celebrities such as Alicia Keys, Gabrielle Union, Rihanna, Ciara, Toni Braxton and more, have gathered in their finest garments to attend their rounds of pre-Grammy parties including Clive Davis’ annual spectacular. Check out the photos below:
Christina Millian rocked this green strapless pointed bust dress for the occasion, while Rihanna rocked a Bottega Veneta Resort 2012 strapless pantsuit ensemble made of a basket-print taupe/olive fabric. And hit the carpet with her blonde hair for the first time. In attendance at the annual Roc Nation pre-Grammy brunch .

Though they had just been informed with the horrific news of Whitney Houston's death, Clive Davis (shown above arriving with Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz) said Whitney would want the music to go on. So celebs hit his annual pre-Grammy dinner at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the same place where Whitney died in her 4th floor hotel room.
As you can see, Clive giving an heartfelt and difficult speech to the audience.

The Birthday DIVA Kelly Rowland looked like she was paying homage to Diana Ross with her big hair and sequins. Absolutely love this gorgeous multi-blue gown on her.

Wiz Khalifa walked the red carpet with his girl none other than Amber Rose, who rocked this animal print gown with a revealing slit.{ROAR} And it looks like she was either extrememly upset by the Whitney news, or something else was going on.
Always one to pull out a show stopping number, Toni Braxton worked this black and silver gown with a long train. She's looking fab in her 40's.
Debra Lee (who wore an interesting fur trimmed skirt) arrived with her daughter Ava.
NeYo looked like a ultimate PIMP in his red velvet sports coat.
Legendary music icon Berry Gordy was in attendance.
Esperanza Spalding made an interesting effort with this number. Not sure what she was going for but.......does this dress look like it was made of recycled materials?
Serena Williams wore a simple emerald ombre strapless grown.
India.Arie rocked a white pantsuit.
Garcelle Beauvais looked stunning in this white gown which she paired with a pair of sparkling sandals. Going for the Grecian goddess look...
Sheila E does not seem to age. Looking fabulous Ms. Sheila.
Shaun Robinson showed off her slim & trim figure in this fitted black number.
Gayle King --sometimes, it's all about the accessories.
Jimmy Jam was there with his wife Lisa Harris.
And Gladys Knight also walked the carpet.
Miguel looked pretty dapper in his mustard colored suit.
And Ciara stayed close to LA Reid, whom she hopes will salvage her career. I'm actually loving the two toned bleached blonde and brown roots.
Gabby Union still pulled off this gown even with a serious mug! She said on the carpet she thought the Whitney news was all a hoax--much like the emotions she went through last week with the Eddie Murphy hoax.
Diana Ross (who was honored) brought out her entire family (sans Rhonda). Hey Tracee!
And she caught up with mentor Berry Gordy.
Diana Ross, who was also honored earlier in the day by the Grammys for her work as a solo artist and as one of The Supremes, posed with Serena and Kim K.
During his speech Clive said he told Whitney they were honoring Diana (shown with son Evan) at the party and he revealed that Whitney said, "Oh i love Diana!" And Diana blew a kis to Clive after eharing that. Sweet!

Sanna Lathan wore this black cocktail dress with a plunging neckline and laced bodice detailing by Julian Joyce for Mandalay.
Gayle King later caught up with Serena near the dance floor.
Diddy also hung out with Toni Braxton.
Jennifer Hudson (who will be performing a tribute to Whitney at the Grammys) was spotted clapping it up during the show.
And Gladys chatted up friends.
Dr.Dre posed with the man of honor, Richard Branson.
Ben Vereen was spotted talking to legend Quincy Jones at the party. Such a somber light cast on such a fabulous event. ReplyDeleteIt's beyond disrespectful for these people to show up to a party held at the hotel where she passed and body remain above them under investigation and then claim to love her or look up to her and offer condolences to her family.
ReplyDeleteIt doe snot matter who did nor did not take pictures, who performed who did not. The fact is you are at a party on the crime scene of your so called friend, mentor or whatever, they are claiming.
The only acceptable thing would have been a candlelight or something but this right here. I am in SHOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I never seen nothing like it. I would never be partying at a crime scene period whether it was Whitney or a Bum on the street, It's more than disrespectful. They are certified LUNATICS. Disrespectful ain't even the word for it, I don't even think they have a word for this type of disregard.
they are there to celebrate music. Why would the event be cancelled. None of us were there, we can't say what went on at this event. I'm sure a suitable tribute was given to Whitney, and there will be many more to come.

ReplyDeleteNeo is soooo horrible looking and he thinks he is so much. His ugly ass had the nerve to talk junk about WH during the making of that last album. He should have left his ego at home. He was No Babyface or Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Neo is such an ugly punk who should have bowed down to Whitney when he had the chance to work w/ her. I can't stand people like him who have not even been in the buss long enough have a ego that big. It will come out in the press about how he and Whitney did not agree enough to make it work. Who is he to talk about her.

My heart is still grieving for you and Cissy and Bobbi C. and all of your family. I grew up in awe of your amazing voice and talent. You have the Greatest Voice of All Time. Kelly Rowland looks fab in that gown! Garcell Bouvais' shoes are a bit much IMO. Esperanza looks like a plastic, dried out chili pepper or something...I Love J-Hud...Gayle King's accessories are eff'd up--just too damn much. Gabby looks nice but the expression on her face is not.; and she shouldn't have commented on what she heard till it was verified. She knows better...Why is Gladys Knight KILLIN' chicks half her age?? Sophisticated & Fab...Toni braxton looks ok--I think the train on her dress was too much though. Brandi looked pretty but with a pained, grief-stricken facial expression & I'm sad for her--but I appreciate how close she & Monica seem to be. Diana Ross looked great except for that hair--but hey, that's her trademark right...Amber actually looked ok minus that green -ish on her lips. Its not Halloween Boo. Nice to see India Arie...Serena looked fab, I actually like CiCi's hair--only she can pull that off. The men looked dapper--all was well till I saw Kim K. Sigh...can 3+ black folk ever congregate in L.A. without her joining in?? DAYUMNNNNNNNNNNN!!!
