UPDATE: ‘Dark Knight’ Movie Screening Shooting, 14 Dead 32 Injured, Shooter Identified As James Holmes!

Federal law enforcement officials say the gas mask-wearing gunman who opened fire early Friday that left 12 dead and 32 injured in Colorado is James Holmes, a 24-year-old American. More details below.........
The Hollywood Reporter says Warner Bros. has canceled its red carpet premiere tonight in Paris of Dark Knight Rises and has issued this statement:
Warner Bros. is deeply saddened to learn about this shocking incident. We extend our sincere sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims at this tragic time.According to CBS reports
“The violent and chaotic scene erupted about 12:30 a.m. local time as a gunman, identified as 24-year-old James Holmes, stood at the front of one of the Century 16 theaters at the Aurora Mall where the latest Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises” was playing. Witnesses reported that the gunman entered the theater through an emergency exit door and threw a gas canister before opening fire.
“Witnesses tell us he released some sort of canister. They heard a hissing sound and some gas emerged and the gunman opened fire,” Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates said at a news conference.ABC News contacted Holmes' mother, who was unaware of the occurrence of the shooting, but interestingly knew her son was very likely involved once she was informed. She said,
"You have the right person, I need to call the police. I need to fly out to Colorado.”

And President Barack Obama also stated that as a country, we are committed to seeking justice:
"Michelle and I are shocked and saddened by the horrific and tragic shooting in Colorado ... We are committed to bringing whoever was responsible to justice, ensuring the safety of our people, and caring for those who have been wounded. As we do when confronted by moments of darkness and challenge, we must now come together as one American family."

Apparently this shooter's mother immediately said that she knew it was him. I have a feeling that we are about to find out that there were as many red flags with this guy as there were with the Fort Hood shooter... and no one did anything. And don't blame guns... guns are banned in Norway lasand last year that shooter was still able to find some. Unfortunately, it took a while to take that guy down because even the cops don't carry guns there!
