Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo has finally recovered from the flu virus and dropped by Hot 107.9's radio station to talk about his spin off show "All My Babies' Mamas" being canceled by the Oxygen network, after two civil rights group launched an online petition to stop the show from airing.

Here's what he had to say about the petition, his family and the show's title:
"...I feel like they didn’t give the show a chance to see what’s really going on. The petitioner's made their assumptions off the trailer. My life story wasn’t peaches and cream. My mama was on drugs. My daddy was elsewhere and my grandmother raised me and she died from cancer when I was one year-olds. I was out there in the streets.

I ain’t had no child in 11 years. Basically, what I’m doing is telling my story. Showing how Shawty Lo turned a negative into a positive. The show wasn’t about ‘we finna be fighting’, this going on. A lot of father’s don’t take care of one child. I’m hands on. My kids love they father. I be on Instagram with my kids every weekend; whenever I can be there.

And you will not hear [I was a deadbeat], because I’m hands on. In the beginning, in the first couple a years, I’m not gon’ lie I wasn’t there with my kids. I was like a dad at first, I became to be a father."
