Here's what the Huff Post reports:
"Given West's habit of being outspoken (and a Rolling Stone cover in which he posed in a crown of thorns), many sites were eager to run with the unattributed factoid. The only problem is that that rumor appears to be a bit of a misunderstanding. A reliable source in West's camp tells HuffPost Entertainment that the title is actual for an upcoming single, and that the album's name has yet to be set. The track will be called "I Am A God" (emphasis added).
"We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being," the source said. While everyone will have to wait for the actual song to parse the specifics of the song's message, the source hinted that the idea was generally that all people are manifestations of a higher power."And according to HipHopWired, West's longtime collaborator Malik Yusuf also backed this claim, adding that it's a Biblical reference.

The explanation of the title makes sense and I love everything Kanye does (accept if it includes Jayz), but I don't think he should risk such a controversial title - no need to give masses who are just dying to crucify him room to misinterpret his work.

ReplyDeleteKim is a cute girl and he's loved her for a long time so really? Wtf? Like everyone else, he can have a baby with whomever the hell he wants! He's not going the 'bey'dumb angle with the song as it is still very much in line with religious protocol. So Kanye, please keep making good music and let that annoying ugly old man Jayz know that he has no business being behind a mic.
ReplyDeleteKanye is dumb as hell for knocking up a married broad. Now no matter what happens between him & his silicone queen, he will have to deal with her. Ugh I haven't been able to stand Kanye since he crossed over to the Dark Side. Like, his music is totally different since his mom passed. Bring back College Dropout Kanye, that's when his music was really amazing. He's so arrogant but his music is garbage now.
