LAST CHANCE: What's Your Thoughts On Oxygen's "I'm Having Their Baby" Season 2 & WIN A $50 GIFT CARD!
June 12, 2013GWL StaffGossipwelove.com has teamed up with the Oxygen network to give one (1) lucky GWL reader a $50 gift card just for watching and commenting on the network's season two (2) of I'm Having Their Baby, reality show.
Let's rewind....during season one of this documentary-style series, viewers had the opportunity to see an intimate peek into the world of adoption by telling the too-often untold story of the birth mother and her experience in making this difficult and emotional choice.
The show documents a range of complicated, poignant, and personal stories as the women struggle with unplanned pregnancies, go through the adoption process and ultimately, decide whether or not to place their baby in the hands of another family.
Now, with season 2 premiering tonight, Oxygen and the show's producers will continue on this path, delving deeper into the lives of birth mothers who are entering the adoption process, and how the decision of adoption will affect their families and friends. And in some cases, the adoptive couples relationships.
Note, each episode will follow two pregnant women (some of which are teenagers) who've made the choice to place their babies up for adoption, and making life changing decisions that come next.
Over the course of the show, "I'm Having Their Baby" will show a wide range of various stories from women all over the country and the circumstances that led to their choice are quite diverse.
According to Oxygen, "All birth mothers wanted to share their story openly and honestly. Our goal was to be authentic in the representation of these very personal journeys and the mixed emotions that come along with that, allowing viewers to bear witness to the adoption process and heart-wrenching final decision each family must face."
Watch the trailer below:
Also, the women featured on the show had already sought out an adoption agency and had made the choice to pursue adoption for their unborn child before participating in the show.
"Adoption laws do vary from state to state. The production company, who had no part in influencing birth mothers, did a nationwide casting search to find these birth moms willing to share their stories. Once those individuals were selected, their stories were followed."
Now, here's how to win that $50 GIFT CARD... You must tune in tonight and then comment below on your favorite part of first episode of season 2. The most engaging reader wins!!! It's that simple.
Plus, be sure to check out the new season of I'm Having Their Baby airing tonight at 10/9c on Oxygen, and the winner will be announced tomorrow (June 13th).
Despite the show being an emotional one, I'm super excited about the new season and you should be too. So, don't forget to like them on Facebook, and Follow on Twitter.

I was so planning on watching this series tonight, but had to work. And that $50 gift card sounds really good. I could have used that money to buy my dad a fathers day gift. :(
ReplyDeleteThis was just too emotional for me to watch.
ReplyDelete27 years ago I chose to give my daughter up for adoption. The Mike and Tory segment really reminded me of the 'relationship' I had at the time with her birth father. I think naming the baby while in utero, not sure if adoptive parents did that, is kind of creating an implied bond and could be a deal breaker. I knew that my decision was right as we were in a situation with no future. The way Mike keeps saying he is hurt is similar to what the birthfather said and, so many years later, still says... he only sees what HE missed out on not what SHE gained, a beautiful and amazing family! I love when Tory said she imagined the adoptive parents together forever, which is very likely. I recently was blessed to meet my daughter who touches many lives daily with her love and light and I truly wish more adoptions could be as healthy as ours.
ReplyDelete@Tiffany, you forgot to leave your email.
ReplyDeletei like it its reality.. melindasuefritz1976@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteAfter watching this show, i dont ever want to adopt a child. Yes it is painful for a birth mom to give up her baby but what about the adoptive parents who spend all that time getting excited and preparing to bring home a baby only to be told the mother changed her mind? No, I could never bring myself to go through that kind of pain. No matter how much I wanted a kid.
ReplyDeleteI am Sarah, from season 2 episode 1. Tiffany, we chose the name Eliza Grace for the baby (we also added Tory's last name as a second middle name), just to clarify. We still are very close with Tory and support her fully... even if the journey was painful for all of us. We just bonded that much more.
ReplyDeleteThe show however... very deceiving. You can not possibly show a 7 month long journey with the 2 sets of parents and the pregnancy in a hour long show that is split with two stories. Not only was a ton of our actual story left out, but it was also edited to be a bit deceptive too. The show wasn't as hard to watch as I anticipated, but still not easy either, especially seeing some of the creative editing that changed how things happened. Bummer. I hope future episodes keep in mind that this is people's real lives and as a docu-series, it should be more true to the story.
We are so blessed with our baby Ezra today and look forward to watching the rest of the season.
