A new Batman has been cast, after Christian Bale decided to put the cape down, and it's none other than Ben Affleck.  Now I'm a huge fan of Batman and think Christian Bale did a great job, but I just can't see Ben as Batman.

According to reports, Affleck will step into the role in the "Man Of Steel" sequel, which is going to feature both Superman and Batman.  Warner Bros. president, Greg Silverman, released a statement sharing his excitement- via Variety:

“We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular Super Heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some.”

This is not Affleck's first attempt at a super hero either, he played Daredevil back in 2003. Which is why I'm somewhat not surprised he would be asked to play Batman.
