September 22, 2013GWL Staff

Last night, the 65th annual Primetime Emmy Awards kicked off at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Now, we have a list of the best and worst dressed celebs of the night are out!

We've shortened a very lengthy list of female celebrities that rocked and failed the red carpet. So dive into the most perplexing and most stunning fashion-designs worn by your fav celeb below..

Zooey Deschanel (above), dressed in J. Mendel, kept her '60s sweetness and looked so darn sophisticated on the red carpet. The actress also rocked black and white nails to match her Edie Parker clutch, and a sliver footwear to round out her flawless look.

Heidi Klum:

This stunning supermodel mom didn't fail to disappoint in a Atelier Versace-designed dress. OMG, the color, the cut, and the finished shine is to die for!

Kerry Washington:

Kerry was as dreamy as ever in this white romantic (floral imprinted) Marchesa dress with a small train and fresh off the designer's Spring 2014 runway.

And despite not taking home a trophy for her portrayal of Olivia Pope in the hit ABC show Scandal, which she was nominated for her first-ever Emmy, Kerry did received praise from the audience when she hit the stage alongside four-time Emmy nominee Diahann Carroll.

The "Scandal" star and face of television drama recently won the hearts of Hollywood fashion critics including Peoples Magazine, naming her "World's Best Dressed Woman." 36-year-old Washington score higher than the first lady, Kate Middleton and Beyonce.

Sofia Vergara:

This hot Latina actress definitely knows what to wear when it comes to showing off her killer curves. Vergara slipped into a red mermaid gown designed by Vera Wang, and we think she pulled it off smashingly-well while working her enviable figure.

Kelly Osborne -- WE LOVE IT!

Obsourne, a born punk rock princess and "Fashion Police" co-host, has added a little color to her wardrobe in a vivid red Jenny Pachham dress... ditching her occasionally dark or pastel color outfits.

Kaley Cuoco:

27-year-old Kaley, who debuted her new husky boyfriend and professional Tennis player Ryan on the carpet, popped up at the event in a strapless tulle dress with a transparent corset.

No doubt she's beautiful, but I wished she would have reconsidered this dress or at-least the texture! What you think?

She later changed into a oxblood Vera Wang dress and posed with her boo for Instagram flicks.

Guiliana Rancic:

The reality star and E! News hostess looked angelic in her baby blue fitted embroidered gown designed by Mikael D. She then accessorized her look with Forevermark jewels, a black clutch with a huge diamond plate ontop, and Christian Louboutin heels.

Carrie Underwood:

This country singer, who performed her newest track, "Yesterday," is never the one to play it small on the red carpet-- stunned critics in a voluminous Romona Keveza purple gown.

Cat Deeley:

Deeley, a TV personality, went the futuristic sexy route in a black cutout dress with a glaring sheen (designed by Futuristic Black). There's something about this dress that rubs me the wrong way --  maybe it just didn't compliment her body well.

Shaun Robinson:

Lastly, this 51-year-old "Access Hollywood" correspondent heated things up in a classic Nicole Miller black gown with cutout panels.
