After being best friends for so long and quickly rushed into a relationship back in June, R&B singer Elle Varner took to her Twitter account on Thursday night to confirm the swirling rumors about her sudden split from NY Knicks baller Iman Shumpert.

Varner, who has 'reportedly' been having problems in making her relationship work with Iman, says that, "Making a relationship public draws a lot of scrutiny. It makes you think about something you were never thinking about before so I don't know If I would advocate public relations to folks but hey, it is what is. We're good."

Apparently, this once happy couple didn't stand a chance when it comes down to media scrutiny, and wasn't able to put their love for first. The "Refill" songstress failed to comment on what really caused the break-up, but had this to say:

"I'm single....please don't ask me a million questions I won't answer any of them. No drama here, just peace and love."

So far, Iman has yet to break his silence about the split and we do hope they can just reconsider their decision and work through it. I think they should also look to Beyonce and Jay Z for some inspiration.
