NFL Baller Adrian Peterson Met His 2-Year-Old Son For The 1st Time In Hospital Before His Death.. Suspect In Jail!

NFLer Adrian Peterson, who recently learned he was the father of a 2-year-old boy in South Dakota, reportedly met the child for the first time Thursday... while the boy was on life support after he was assaulted by the mother's 27-year-old boyfriend, Joseph Robert Patterson.

Multiple sources connected to the situation says, roughly 2-3 months ago, the mother of the child had a paternity test done with an ex-lover she suspected to be the father, in an effort to collect child support from him. But the test turned up negative, so the woman went to Adrian... with whom she had a sexual encounter several years ago.

 After getting a hold of the news a few weeks ago, Adrian started to plan a trip to South Dakota to meet the child for the first time and he was supposed to fly out later this month. Apparently, he never knew that he'd never get a chance to see his son in a healthy state when heard the news about the attack.

 The baller then dropped everything and jetted over to Sioux Falls as soon as he could... meeting the child for the first time while the boy was on life support. Sources tell TMZ that, "Adrian has been very involved since the tragedy and was the one pushing to have the child's organs donated to other people in need of a transplant."


As for the suspect, Joseph (who Adrian has never met and has a long history of Domestic Violence), was charged with felony counts of aggravated assault and aggravated assault on an infant and is being held in Minnehaha County Jail, South Dakota on $750,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 23 but a grand jury indictment is expected before then.


Adrian has refused to release any photos of his deceased son and is requesting privacy. And as for reports claiming that it was his first son who had died, Adrian addressed the rumors on Twitter saying, "My son Adrian Jr. who lives with me is healthy. Appreciate the concern. We respectfully ask to stop tweeting his pics." (Above photo).
