Wiz Khalifa Wasn't The Only African American "TREATED LIKE A THIEF" By Barney's NY, What About Jay Z? + Amber Rose On "Bethenny"

Following rapper Wiz Khalifa's experience with Barney's New York in Beverly Hills, two African American New York natives are currently suing Barney's clothing store in New York City for being falsely accused by the store employees of credit fraud.

Let's track back, Khalifa spoke out about his experience with the high-end franchise back in 2011 after he spent $16,000 on clothes for his wife, Amber Rose. He told close friends and family that he was treated like a thief by store employees. The only difference is, he accepted the disrespect and didn't return the items.

Via RadarOnline:
The "Black and Yellow" rapper shelled-out some $16k on women’s shoes for his controversial girlfriend and their families, but he was not treated like a VIP.
An onlooker told RadarOnline.com: “ After his spending spree on the shoes Wiz went up to the ultra expensive men’s department floor, but instead of rolling out the red carpet for him they refused to help the poor guy!
“Not only did they fail to recognize him they actually thought that that he was a thief and treated him like one!
“It was only when somebody pointed out to them who the guy actually was that they back-tracked somewhat.”
In 1990 mega-hit Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts’ hooker character Vivian Ward is famously snubbed after she visits an upscale Beverly Hills boutique until her millionaire boyfriend Richard Gere (Edwards Lewis) sets them straight on how much money he is about to spend on her.
It’s understood that after his re-buff Wiz re-united with his shaven-headed girlfriend Rose and their families before promptly exiting the swanky store.
Do you think this racial profiling suit against Barney's will affect the company's partnership with rapper Jay Z for their upcoming project, "A New York Holiday" goodie gift bag? Knowing that the hip-hop mogul is also African American.

Now, Kayla Phillips, 21, was stopped by police in February at the 59th St. and Lexington Ave. subway station after purchasing a $2,500 Céline handbag from Barneys at 61st St. and Madison Ave.

The NYDailynews reports:

"Four plainclothes cops accused a black woman of credit card fraud after the Brooklyn mom bought a $2,500 designer bag from Barneys — stoking a fresh round of outrage against the high-end store.
Phillips, 21, a nursing student from Canarsie, tells us that she had long coveted the orange suede Céline bag. Armed with a cash infusion from a tax return, she took her Bank of America debit card and headed to the Madison Ave. flagship store on Feb. 28. Phillips is suing the NYPD for $5 million. A spokeswoman for the city’s Law Department said she would review the claim."
And as for the second victim, Rayon Christian, 19, has filed a discrimination suit this week accusing Barneys and the NYPD of racially profiling him. Christian said he was followed by undercover cops and accused of fraud after buying a $349 Ferragamo belt at Barneys on April 29.
Barney's released a statement via Facebook saying:
“Barneys New York typically does not comment on pending litigation. In this instance, we feel compelled to note that after carefully reviewing the incident of last April, it is clear that no employee of Barneys New York was involved in the pursuit of any action with the individual other than the sale. Barneys New York has zero tolerance for any form of discrimination and we stand by our long history in support of all human rights.”
Plus, the store is a favorite with celebrities like Elton John, Christina Aguilera and Madonna, who all regularly spend thousands of dollars on the latest designer labels at their Beverly Hills flagship store..
