From CSI to Scandal: Actress Khandi Alexander To Play Olivia Pope's Mom On The ABC Hit Show!

56-year-old actress Khandi Alexander, best known for her role as Dr. Alexx Woods on CSI: Miami, has expanded her resume as she will now be joining the baddest chic on TV Emmy-nominated actress Kerry Washington and the cast of "Scandal."
Alexander will reportedly play Ms. Olivia Pope's mother Maya Lewis, who was "allegedly" ordered to be killed by Pope's evil dad. Now we may all remember Khandi from another hit show featured on HBO "Treme" chronicling the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina but she may be more famous for her character on the television drama CSI.
We however can't wait to see the great addition she brings to the already nail biting ABC hit show and what kind of problems is Olivia having where she needs her mom. Alexander makes her big debut on next Thursday's new episode and will be seen in flashbacks.
