Is Ashanti Dating Philadelphia Eagles Player DeSean Jackson? + Releasing Another Nelly-Inspired Break-up Track, "Scars"

Word on the street is that singer Ashanti and Philadelphia Eagles player DeSean Jackson are an item.

Despite admitting in a recent interview with Bethenny Frankel that her ex-boyfriend Nelly was a distraction in her career, Ashanti appears to be getting back in the dating scene and she's chosen a baller.

According to Spilldabeanz: "Jackson has been promoting Ashanti via his Instagram as of late and even posted the above photo of them which quickly put the relationship rumors in overdrive. But, it could just be an honest friendship. Either way, we'll never know for sure until probably a decade from now -- just like her [nine] year relationship with Nelly."

Just last week, Ashanti sat down with Hot 97's Ebro and Laura Styles to dished on her past relationship with Nelly and what's going on with her music career.

The "Army Wives" actress revealed to the radio hosts that her track, “Never Should Have” was actually written about the St. Louis rapper. She also admitted that they were together for a total of nine years, while announcing she has an upcoming record titled “Scars” that she wrote about their relationship.
