On Thursday morning, Flavor Flav was pulled over after Nassau County cops clocked him for going 79 mph in a 55 mph zone on the Meadowbrook Parkway near Hempstead.

During his stop, 54-year-old Flav, whose real name is William Drayton, was searched and cops found a small amount of marijuana on his pockets.

According to police, a check of Flavor Flav's record showed 16 license suspensions.

He was arrested and charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of marijuana. He was also cited for speeding in Valley Stream, NY.

Flavor Flav was given a desk appearance ticket and released in time to attend his mother, Anna Drayton's funeral, police said.

He was ordered to appear in Nassau County First District Court in Hempstead on Jan. 28.

Flavor Flav is originally from Roosevelt, L.I., and now lives in Las Vegas. His mother died on New Year’s Eve.

Flavor Flav came to fame as a member of the hip-hop group Public Enemy, and famously wore a large clock around his neck. He later released solo music and appeared on a number of reality shows. On "The Surreal Life," he met and began dating actress Brigitte Nielsen, and the two later had their own show, "Strange Love." 

After the couple broke up, he appeared on his own show, "Flavor of Love," on which he attempted to find a wife.
