"Love & Hip Hop: NY" reality star K. Michelle recently dished on her new VH1 reality show spin-off, No New Friends, that she says will be a representation of her on/off-screen fiery personality, during an interview with CBS radio.

"The show will be about my progression as a businesswoman, as a brand," she said, acknowledging her rise as a solo artist. She also talked about the inspiration behind her "Rebellious Soul" album and her breakout single, 'V.S.O.P.'

“You can be a rebel without a cause,” Michelle said, referring to her fiery, scorned R&B songs. I wanted to be a rebel with a cause.” And as for her V.S.O.P single, she says; “It’s a soulful record, it’s urgent to today and it still gives you that old-school feel,” describing not just “V.S.O.P.” but encapsulating the whole album.

K. Michelle's second single off Rebellious Soul — the rousing “Can’t Raise a Man” — is set for release soon. It’s sure to make her 2014 “very special” as well.
