Kanye West Defends Drake Against Rollingstone + Charlamagne Responds To Kanye West's Diss Rant

February 16, 2014GWL Staff

Earlier this week, Rolling Stone magazine released an excerpt from Drake's interview in their February 2014 issue, where he took jabs at Kanye's 'Yeezus' single and called Macklemore's apology text to Kendrick Lamar "wack."

A day after the interview created quite the buzz, Drizzy addressed the issue head on via Twitter and bashed the magazine for twisting his interview and giving away his cover to the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.

However, Drizzy has since then squashed his beef with Rolling Stone after publicly apologizing to the popular magazine for his crazy outburst. Get the full scoop HERE

Now, last night 36-year-old Kanye West defended the 'Young Money' rapper and accused the magazine of trying to divide the two during an on-stage rant in Newark, New Jersey.

Yeezy also expressed his opinions on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' Grammy wins and [Kanye] being a "genius" rapper doing well in the music industry. Listen to the full rant below:

In the middle of Kanye's Yeezus concert at Penn State last Thursday night, the rapper stopped the music to address members of the press who do not seem to appreciate the fact that he's been successfully grinding at his craft for the past 10 years.

Kanye called out Power 105′s Charlamagne and MTV’s Sway Calloway, demanding them and the press to “shut the f--k up.” Watch the rant above!

Now, Charlamagne is responding to Kanye's diss rant, basically to say he wants the rapper to "calm down before he gets diagnosed with high blood pressure."
“I just want know where was all that when he was here on The Breakfast Club,” the Power105.1's co-host said. “How can ya’ll respect that? How do you get mad after the fact? If you felt that way, you sat here in this studio for over an hour and didn’t say none of that, but now, three to four months later, you ranting about me again. Come on man.”
The radio personality added that Kanye might even be better off doing "video blogs."
"If Kanye wants to do radio interviews and he doesn't want the host to talk, he might as well just do video blogs," he said. "I just want him to calm down and not get high blood pressure. And Kim [Kardashian], please go buy Kanye some chocolates or some flowers, some balloons for Valentines. He's acting like a single, bitter bitch right now."
