The event organizers played several songs from Legend's latest album, Love in the Future, and he explained the inspiration behind his hit singles "All of Me" and "Made to Love."

The singer said ‘All of Me’ was inspired by a type of love people wanted in their lives and especially inspired by his wife. Legend thinks people who can relate to this song, is them currently experiencing that kind of love, or something they aspire for.

He also spoke about curating the Oscar-winning film, "12 Years a Slave" soundtrack, how he really believed the film would win Best Picture and his journey as an artist.

"When I heard the movie took home the gold, I was beyond proud. To know that I played apart it in, the feeling was amazing," he said about the movie.

A source told us that [John] answered a few fan questions about wanting to work with Beyonce, where he admitted, "I would much rather work with women, because I won’t want to steal the song for myself." Maybe, just maybe, fans will one get to listen to a collaborative single from singers.

He also dished on kicking-off his tour and focusing on creating a great sound experience. "It will only be me playing a piano, a guitarist, and a string quartet."

It may look like the picture perfect wedding, but John and wife Chrissy Teigen's nuptials didn't go off as planned.

The lovebirds revealed in the 2014 Spring Issue of Martha Stewart Weddings that they were set to marry on a Southern farm before deciding to tie the knot in Italy's Lake Como.

"For a minute I was like, 'I'm going to wear cowboy boots with my dress!' " Teigen, 28, tells the magazine, which includes an eight-page spread of the September ceremony. "Then I realized, that's just not me."

The stormy weather in Ohio delayed the flights of Legend's family members, pushing the festivities back a few hours. Fortunately, Teigen's fellow Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model Brooklyn Decker and bridesmaids – were game to keep the party going.

"They had cocktails for four hours!" Teigen tells the magazine about how they passed the time.

Legend, 35, and Teigen later wed in an elegant ceremony officiated by the singer's uncle and danced as Stevie Wonder performed "Ribbon in the Sky." Not surprisingly, Legend also serenaded his bride with "All of Me," reflecting on when they first met while filming a music video in 2006.

"The shoot was pretty up close and personal, and I got to know her big personality – she's very fun, very clever, very gregarious," Legend said. "It's not the normal way to court someone, but hey, it worked."
