Reality star Kim Kardashian and Kanye West can't really wait for an actual summer date to host their lavish nuptial, so they've now set to get married in May, which is warm enough for Kim to gracefully walk down the aisle.

The couple has marked their calendars for May 24, and will wed near Paris in an intimate ceremony. You know Kanye had something to do with this sh*t right? Kim is an over the top kind of chick and Kanye is the type of dude that keeps it in (private, controlling), and rant about it in his concerts. So, can someone please remind me -- again -- on why they're a perfect couple again?

Astronomers’ have calculated that the date (May 24) will bring a comet that will burst through Earth’s atmosphere and create a huge meteor shower (up to 200 per hour under ideal conditions) in the sky above as the couple exchange their vows. Très romantique, n'est-ce pas?

Either way, the 33-year-old bride-to-be "is super excited about the small, intimate wedding," she recently opened up about the upcoming nuptials in an interview with Ryan Seacrest. "As we go along, we're realizing we want it to be smaller and more intimate than people are imagining and thinking."

As expected, Kim revealed that the rapper, 36, has been very involved in the planning of the event -- though there are some details he'd rather not handle.

"There's certain things where I'm like, 'I know you're going to hate the seating chart, so I'll take care of this,'" North's mom explained to Seacrest. "And then there's some things that are really important to him. [But the] seating chart is like death."

"It is so crazy to me that this is all happening," Kardashian gushed. "Kanye really outdid himself. It feels like I'm in a dream. It's just the most amazing experience." Of the 15-carat diamond engagement ring, she added, "It really is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I just can't believe I'm engaged."

And with the proposal filmed for her family's reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, last October and aired last month. Kim says the ceremony will also be filmed for their fans to see.
