Earlier today, a video footage of what appears to be Solange Knowles attacking her brother-in-law Jay Z inside an elevator after the Met Gala has surfaced online.

In the video obtained by TMZ, Jay Z, Solange, and Beyoncé were caught on tape walking into the elevator along with what looks to be a security guard at the Standard Hotel in NYC. Still dressed in their formal wear, Solange can be seen kicking and hitting Jay repeatedly, while he backs up towards one side of the elevator.

With the interference of the security guard, the fight was quickly controlled by the guard and all parties left the elevator as if nothing had happened. After leaving the Met Gala afterparty, Jay reportedly went solo in one limo, and Beyoncé and Solange in the other.

The Standard Hotel in NYC's Meatpacking District has released the following statement about the video footage being leaked online via Complex Music:

"We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests. We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity."
