Rapper Meek Mill has been sentenced to serve three to six months in prison for violating his probation stemming from a 2009 gun and drug charge, all because of an Instagram and Twitter outburst.

Last week, a Common Pleas Court Judge, Genece E. Brinkley, became infuriated and saddened by the Philadelphia-native actions -- including posting a photo of himself holding a shot gun and scheduling concerts without a judge's approval -- in a four-hour hearing.

"After all these years of me trying to help him move his career forward... I believe this defendant is basically thumbing his nose at me," Brinkley told the 27-year-old hip-hop star and his lawyer, Gary Silver.

Via Fox 29 news reports: Mill, whose real name is Robert Williams, pleaded with Brinkley to let him continue working because his career supports him and his family, including his monthly expenses at $80,000 to $90,000.

"It took me 15 years to get here, and this will be extremely damaging to my life," Mill said in court. The judge, however, responded: "You just don't get it. I have repeatedly warned you NOT to make further plans without court approval... but instead, you went against my orders. I just don't want to hear it."

Despite the many angry fans threatening Brinkely after hearing about his "alleged injustice" on July 11th, the final straw appeared to be when Brinkley heard that Mill had booked concerts between Thursday and Aug. 11, (all of which has been canceled) a time when she had ordered him to stop performing while she tried to resolve his probation problems.

An insider claims that Brinkely has a vendetta against the rapper and he’s been unfairly targeted. Some fans are upset that Meek’s upcoming album and tour dates might be pushed back because he’ll be locked up in County Jail.
