Nia Long Makes History As The First Woman To Front Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds Perfume

Today is was reported that actress Nia Long will be the new face of Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds Lustre perfume.

 The 43-year-old mother-of-two had this to say about the fragrance in a press release: "Elizabeth Taylor said White Diamonds was her 'Diamonds In A Bottle,' and that's what Lustre really is to me – Lustre just adds that extra sparkle. I personally love the juicy pear and raspberry notes in Lustre – it gives it a fresh, fruity feminine touch."



Jezebel speculates that Ms Long will appear in both TV and print advertisements for the perfume.


DID YOU KNOW? Until this point Taylor - who died in 2011 at the age of 79 - has posthumously appeared in ads for the fragrance, as marketers have continued to air TV spots that were filmed years before her death.
