By now, everyone knows that Andre 3000 is starring as Jimi Hendix in the Jimi Hendrix biopic "All Is By My Side," which was recently added to the Toronto International Film Festival line up in September.
But nobody knew Andre was working on a new solo album until the President of Music Programming and Specials for BET Networks, Stephen G. Hill broke the news on twitter.

Andre 3000: yeah...and i got a solo album coming top of the year. Me:*droptofloor*Andre, is of course a member of Atlanta's famed Outkast, hasn't released a solo album since Outkast's 2006 soundrack album for "Idlewild." I'd love to see what he has in store if in fact he's dropping another album. Billboard reached out to a rep for the rapper and the rep had this to say about the rumor:
"Regarding reports of a specific plan to release an album in early 2014," the rep says, "There is no official confirmation on that report."
So we'll have to wait and see on this one but I'd love another Andre 3000 album.
