Over the weekend, Tina Turner and her long-time German music producer boyfriend Erwin Bach tied the knot at a private ceremony on the banks of Lake Zurich in Switzerland, surrounded by friends and family, including Oprah Winfrey and Bryan Adams.
Minus Ike Turner's vocals, legendary singer and songstress Tina Turner is probably somewhere in Switzerland singing her hit 'Proud Mary' after tying the knot to boyfriend/German record executive Erwin Bach of 27 years in a private ceremony near their hometown of Zurich in Kusnacht (northern Switzerland).
Legendary music icon and Vogue magazine's cover girl, Tina Turner has allegedly said "yes" after her 57 year-old German boyfriend, Erwin Bach, who asked the singer to marry him earlier this month. The Huffington post reports, the couple, who have been living together in Switzerland for the past 18 years, is ready to tie-the-knot after being together for 27-years. The wedding is said to be taking place on their Lake Zurich property and the guests are required to wear all white. Turner told the Blick, a Swiss publication, "I am happier than I could have ever dreamed of. And in January, it was announced that Turner is on her way to becoming a Swiss citizen. She's been approved by a local council, pending formal approval from state and federal authorities.
This will be Turner's second marriage. From 1962 to 1978 she was married to Ike Turner, who had passed away in 2007. That same year, a script she wrote for an autobiographical musical titled "Simply the Best" portrayed Ike as a gun-wielding, cocaine-sniffing, wife-beating monster whose signature line is:
"'That bitch will taste my wrath like it's her own saliva!,'" reports the New York Post.
Since the mid 90's, superstar singer Tina Turner has been living lavishly in her home in Zurich, Switzerland, and according to recent reports she had ditched the US for good.
