Beyonce Rises From No. 1 Album to No. 1 Fragrance

The verdict is in and megastar Beyonce Knowles' debut perfume Heat has been ranked as the top-selling celebrity scent in the UK. "Celebrity fragrances remain top of the wish list," says The Fragrance Shop manager, Sanjay Vadera.
The fiery fragrance from the 'Run the World (Girls)' hitmaker has been described as a mixture of floral, fruity and woody with tones of milkwood and tonka bean. Heat has out-sold fragrances from peers such as Mariah Carey,Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue and more. Her fragrance even topped British "it" couple David and Victoria Beckham who came in at number three and ten, respectively.

When asked about her newest perfume, Heat Rush, Beyonce revealed that this is a scent she cannot leave home without. "I feel like fragrance is one of the most important accessories a woman can have - it's sexy, it says something, and it's that final touch, like putting on a gorgeous pair of stilettos," she says.
Beyonce then goes on to explain that her love affair with perfumes dates back to her childhood. She explains, "One of the things I remember from being a little girl is how I loved watching my mother getting ready to go out and she'd spray on her perfume. It was this gorgeous blast that would linger in the room after she'd gone and it would remind me of her. I thought it was so sophisticated and glamorous, so feminine and sexy."
