Lauryn Hill just got slapped by the fashion police. Not because her outfits lately call for it. But because she allegedly has been STEALING the ish she's been wearing.
A fashion consultant by the name of Via Davia Vintage filed a lawsuit in L.A. Superior Court saying that Lauryn jacked her for her clothes back in 2007 during L Boogie's Euro tour. Instead of keeping the clothes for the agreed upon time--L Boogie kept those eye-catching threads for months. And some she didn't return at all. TMZ reports:
According to a lawsuit filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Via Davia Vintage provided Hill "with an entire wardrobe of high fashion items." The company claims Hill agreed to pay a fixed weekly fee for 4 weeks. But according to the lawsuit, Hill hung on to the clothes for three months, paying only a fraction of what she owed.. And to top it off ... the consultant claims Hill only returned about 30% of the items, keeping the expensive stuff.
Don't know what I'm more mad about--that Lauryn is willing to get a bad name over not returning some clothes on time...or the fact she actually paid serious money for these fashion choices we side-eye...often.
