How are Hollywood’s hottest stars like Eva Mendes, Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Richiestaying so slim? SHAPE magazine has all the details about all the diet plans that the stars can’t live without.
The 5-Factor Diet derives its name from the number of elements each meal should include – protein, complex carbs, fiber, fat and fluids. Created by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, it should come as no surprise that Hollywood starlets such as Eva Mendes, Megan Fox, Katy Perry and Kate Beckinsale all are fans. Nicole Richie, Rooney Mara and Gwen Stefani have all tried the Pressed Juicery diet, which is a six-juices-a-day, 1,200 calorie intense cleanse.
“I drink these between meals to be sure I’m getting everything I need,” says Nicole Richie. “I don’t go a day without a Greens Juice – kale, spinach, celery, cucumber and romaine. It’s actually really good!”
See the list below:
1. The 5-Factor Diet
WHAT IT IS: Created by celebrity trainer and fitness guru Harley Pasternak, the “five” in the 5 factor diet comes from the number of elements each meal should include – protein, complex carbs, fiber, fat and fluids. Followers eat five meals a day with recipes that contain no more than five ingredients. One cheat day is allowed per week where you can eat anything – and everything – you like, guilt free.
CELEBs who used this plan: Eva Mendes, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Megan Fox, Kate Beckinsale, Katy Perry, Amanda Seyfried.
2. The Fresh Diet
WHAT IT IS: The Fresh Diet delivers gourmet chef-prepared meals directly to your doorstep. Supposedly, it tastes so good you don’t even know you’re on a diet. Meals are customized according to your weight loss goals, exercise amount, food likes and dislikes, and also offers gluten-free and vegetarian options.
CELEBs who used this plan: Paula Abdul, Olivia Munn, Maria Menounos, Shenae Grimes.
3. The Zone Diet
WHAT IT IS: Developed by former scientist Dr. Barry Sears, The Zone Diet involves getting 40 percent of your daily total caloric intake from carbohydrates, 30 percent from carbs and 30 percent from fats. According to Sears, balancing the correct amount of amino acids with carbs helps control the appetite to prevent over-eating (which leads to weight gain). Followers eat three portion-controlled meals and two snacks a day, preventing you from getting too hungry – or cranky. Hollywood hottie Jennifer Aniston was such a big fan, some have even called it the “Jennifer Aniston Diet."
CELEBs who used this plan: Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore, Sandra Bullock.
4. Pressed Juicery
WHAT IT IS: Hollywood seems to be juiced over this six-juices-a-day, 1,200-calorie intense cleanse. While on the Pressed Juicery diet (said to be a major bloat beater), followers receive a daily supply of juices specially delivered every morning. Each fresh, nutrient-packed drink is designed to replace meals and snacks, and all alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine should be avoided.
“I drink these between meals to be sure I’m getting everything I need,” says Nicole Richie. “I don’t go a day without a Greens Juice – kale, spinach, celery, cucumber and romaine. It’s actually really good!”
CELEBs who used this plan: Nicole Richie, Rooney Mara, Zooey Deschanel, Gwen Stefani.
5. Freshology
WHAT IT IS: Freshology provides calorie-controlled, low-carb, high-protein, all-natural gourmet meals (prepared by a five-star chef, ooh la la) delivered straight to your front door. Said to be the “Diet Plan of Choice for the Dancing with the Stars Celebrities," meal plans start at $48 a day.
“The food is good and I don’t have to think about it!” says sultry star Sofia Vergara. But the best part? You’ll even get dessert.
CELEBs who used this plan: Sofia Vergara, Ricki Lake, Lauren Conrad, Jennifer Lopez, Julie Benz.
6. Sunfare
WHAT IT IS: One thing’s for sure – Hollywood loves convenience. Sunfare, another diet plan delivered straight to your doorstep, offers three personalized meals and two snacks. Tailored to your tastes and goals, there’s no menu planning, shopping or cooking involved – Amen to cutting out the guesswork!
“When I want to kick it up a notch, I get Sunfare meals delivered,” says Audrina Patridge. “I eat 1,100 to 1,200 calories per day, mainly lean protein, lots of green leafy veggies and low carbs.”

7. The South Beach Diet
WHAT IT IS: According to their website, The South Beach Diet is “a food-lover’s diet”. Divided into three phases (the first two are the most strict), the program is said to eliminate cravings, kick start weight loss and maintain for life. While there’s no counting calories or strict portion sizes, followers must say goodbye to bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, baked goods, and fruit – at least for the first two weeks. Relatively simple in principle, it replaces “bad carbs” and “bad fats” with “good carbs” and “good fats."
CELEBs who used this plan: Kim Cattrall, Nicole Kidman, Oprah, Eva Mendes, Bill Clinton

You know what the best diet is? The one that works for you... when you see the doctor and get your vitals taken after being on the diet for a while, you see have a CLEAN bill of health. If that is the case, then the diet you're on is working for you. Everyone is built differently so it's really hard to conform to any one of these diets. Yes, celebs look HOT HOT HOT but... they have the money to shell out on personal trainers & chefs. Plus, it's their JOB to look good.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely try this, because Jennifer Aniston is doing it.....LOVE HER!
