The Former Disney Star Demi Lovato announced that she will be airing a special MTV documentary about her professional and personal life. Lovato admits in the documentary how at first, she was reluctant to accept the default title of a public ‘role model’ – a common label when the majority of your fan base is comprised of youth.
“I had so many issues underneath that needed to be taken care of," Demi admits, many of which included depression, cutting and an on-going eating disorder.

But in an effort to remedy her past and the past of the young fans that can relate to her story, she continues to fight the good fight.
“I continue to work my butt off," Demi says. “Because now I want to be a legitimate role model.”
