I have a 14 year old and it scares the shyt out of both of us! I've always raised my son to know who he is and what it means in America. I am a part of a lot of interracial communities where they try to tell their "biracial" children that they are not Black. My GOODNESS that type of teaching scares me. They are setting their children up for some serious issues later on when they're with their White friends and all of a sudden the police choose to bother HIM - the only Black - out of the crowd. I'm mixed... Sure... Black is a mixed race. It doesn't matter who you were raised by. A Black man in this country is seen as a threat and we need to inform our children of this!!! :(

I am so *bleeping* tired of hearing self defense BS flying out of all the mouths of these people. If it was truly self defense then there was still NO NEED for a gun. Zimmerman even if shorter, outweighed Trayvon by over 100lbs. That right there is an unfair advantage for him, then the fact that Trayvon was a CHILD, and Zimmerman was a man (use that term loosely) also unfair advantage, and Trayvon had skittles and and ice tea, and Zimmerman had a gun, again unfair advantage. So where oh where in any of those facts did Zimmerman gain the rights to use that Meet force with force law? NEVER was Trayvon a threat cause Zimmerman ALWAYS had the advantages. Not only THAT, the "Stand Your Ground" law was NOT made for those who pursue trouble which he did. I'm sure the police told him that his actions fell under that. But the main advocate and supporter of this law (whom happens to be a Republican) states that Zimmerman is NOT protected by this. So, why isn't he in jail yet???? Why do we have to wait until April 10th to see justice? Did Trayvon have time to think about his death and his life as Zimmerman took it from him???
