Brian McKnight Asked To Perform "X-Rated" Track At Porn Awards, Plus Tank Still DOGGING Brian's Song!

Brian McKnight's XXX rated music venture is opening up a whole new fan base as he was asked to perform "If You're Ready to Learn" at the 2012 Adult Video News Awards (AVN). I wonder if he will spice it up with a live acted-out performance of the song? That would be the perfect audience for it..
Also, R&B singer Tank who has been dogging Brian for his X-rated single, was recently on The Morning Riot in Chicago. Tank complained about the death of R&B saying that Chris Brown and Usher are the only ones who get their R&B records played. This lead to a discussion of Brian whom they felt must be feeling some kind of pressure to get airplay now that he is making dirty records.
Tank & the crew said McKnight is too old and established to be doing this b.s. and should stay in his lane. Then started singing dirty songs "opera style" to show that sometimes, two styles of music DO NOT mix.

ReplyDeleteI agree 100%. Bobby Brown, considered the ”bad boy” of R & B, had/has enough savy and sense than to put something like that out there. I know everything must change at some point or another, but GEEZ!!! I'm not saying that the guy can't sing about sex. Some of the most classic R & B cuts talk about/references it (Minnie Ripperton, ”Inside My Love”, Teddy Pendergrass, ”Turn Off the Lights”). Just keep the music/art form pure. That's all. And it seems to me that the hosts of the show were ”clowning” Brian way more than Tank.

ReplyDeleteSorry Tank, you are irrlevant in the male R&B category. When I think of male r&B singers, I do NOT consider Tank!! Brian McKnight did make that hot mess of a song, but he is still a better singer & has more hits than you. Have several seats. Immediately!!

His material is all over the place. Who do you think writes for Trey Songz, Chris Brown and some of your other artists?? LOL
