Couple Nelly & Ashanti, Solange Knowles and Elle Varner At 6th Annual DKMS Gala! [Photos]

Rapper Nelly and Singer Ashanti walked the red carpet all coupled up for the 6th Annual DKMS Gala benefiting Cancer research last night in New York. Nelly looked dapper in a suit with a burgundy colored tie while Ashanti was all smiles in an embellished beaded floor-length gown. Singer Solange Knowles also graced the red carpet in a Stephane Rolland Spring 2012 Couture gown while newcomer Elle Varner kept it girly and fun in a purple dress.


Elle Varner was super cute in a lavender colored dress and hair bow.



Solange allowed her gown to shine for most of the night, opting for minimal make up and her hair pulled back.




Less is more always works for Ashanti. Without a face full of over-done makeup and spider lashes and big curls with too many colors, she looks chic and pretty for the occasion.




Solange also snapped a pic with the honoree of the night, Heidi Klum, who rocked a pale blue Temperley London Spring 2012 dress with a central split and plunging neckline.

    I like what Solange TRIED to do: the gown is nice, but her nude face? Not so much. She looks like she just woke up after smokin' crack all night. Not refreshed at all.....just....there.

    Everyone looks great. Solange looks good only thing is the gold piece on her dress looked like her cell phone. It's too big in my opinion.

    I REALLY, REALLY feel sorry for Ashanti. How long have these two "been together"? 10 years. Whenever he wants to sleep with someone else, he breaks up with her, but she keeps going back. Sad.
