We all know what happened at Summer Jam regarding DJ Peter Rosenberg who dismissed a particular Nicki Minaj record (Starships) and the subsequent Young Money cancelling their show’s performance lineup. After hearing Rosenberg give his side of the story this morning, we finally get to hear what Nicki has to say about the whole ordeal. More details below.............
YMCMB’s technicolor first lady/princess phoned in to Hot 97 earlier this evening to discuss yesterday’s events with Funkmaster Flex — who also declared war on the barbie and her track, following her decision not to rock the Summer Jam stage last night.
There was a bit of tension shared in a series of emails, which cooler heads eventually prevailed and Flex and Nicki were able to converse about the day’s events. The talk got a bit contentious at points but, for the most part, was kinda-sorta-somewhat civil — by Hip-Hop standards, anyway — but who knows if anything was truly settled.
