You better watch what you say on Twitter because one day, it just might cost you.

According to Yahoo! News, New York Knick Amar'e Stoudemire just got served a $50,000 fine "for using a offensive and derogatory language in a Twitter message" by NBA Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations today. More details below.....................

After dropping the anti-gay F bomb via DM to a fan @BFerrelli who tweeted that the power forward should "come back stronger to make up for this past season," the 29-year-old's private message was posted as a screen shot that read: ""F*** you. I don't have to do any thing f****t." Stoudemire then rushed to apologize, blaming a lengthy workout for his curtness.

Stoudemire averaged 17.5 points and 7.8 rebounds for New York this season, his lowest marks since his 2002-03 rookie season with the Phoenix Suns. He missed 19 games due to injury and famously injured himself during the Knicks' first-round playoff loss to the Miami Heat by lashing out in frustration, punching a fire extinguisher case in the bowels of AmericanAirlines Arena, and badly lacerating his hand.

The NBA has been known for fining foul-mouth players in the past such as Chicago Bulls' Joakim Noah and Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant. Now the lens-rocking baller will have to pay up and shut up.
