Plus, Funeral Service For Usher’s Stepson Kile Glover Is Set For Friday
The service for Kile Glover, 11, will be held at 11 a.m. at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday.
On July 6, Glover and a 15-year-old friend were riding on an inner tube pulled by a pontoon boat on Lake Lanier in Georgia.
A family friend riding a jet ski slammed into the inner tube, striking Glover in the head and knocking him unconscious, authorities said. He was later declared brain dead, while his friend was released from the hospital after suffering a cut in the head and a broken arm. Glover died on 21st of heart failure.
The family friend, identified as 38-year-old Jeffrey Hubbard, could face criminal charges. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources said Monday it was still investigating the case and a recommendation could be made to the district attorney.
Glover’s father is Atlanta television exec Ryan Glover and his mother is Tameka Foster Raymond.
She and Usher were married in 2007 and split two years later. They have two children together.
