Crazy News: George Zimmerman Seeks 'Stand Your Ground' Hearing That Could Clear Him From killing Trayvon Martin!
August 09, 2012GWL StaffGeorge Zimmerman is seeking a hearing that could clear him if a judge rules that he shot Trayvon Martin in self-defense under Florida’s controversial “Stand Your Ground” law.
Martin, 17, was killed on Feb. 26 while walking home inside a Sanford, Fla. gated community from a 7-Eleven. He was carrying an iced tea and a bag of Skittles. More details below...............
Prosecutors contend Zimmerman profiled Martin simply because he was black and wearing a hoodie.

According to the NYdaily: On Thursday, Zimmerman's defense attorney Mark O'Mara made the announcement from their Website saying,
The hearings are mini-trials — except that the burden of proof is on the defense rather than the prosecution. A judge, rather than a jury, decides the outcome.
And If Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. rules in Zimmerman’s favor, it would not only knockout a trial but would insulate the shooter from future lawsuits.
No date has been set for the hearing, which is not expected to happen for several months.
Zimmerman, 28, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and is free on $1 million bond.
“The primary focus of a ‘stand your ground’ hearing is whether George Zimmerman reasonably believed that his use of his weapon was necessary to prevent great bodily harm to himself at the hands of Trayvon Martin.”
“The defense asserts that there is clear support for a strong claim of self-defense.”Team Zimmerman is pinning its hopes on the Florida law, which allows people to use deadly force — rather than retreat — if they have a reasonable belief they could be killed or badly harmed.

Think about it....Trayvon is walking home...some stranger starts following him...in the dark, no less...doesn't identify himself...and then confronts him...but Trayvon is wrong for being scared and fighting back...get serious
ReplyDeleteYour absolutely right. Some strange person who you don't know (he could be a pervert or sex offender) is following me in a car and for no apparent reason gets out, chases after me and confronts me, you better believe I would be in fight or flight mode.

If this man was beaten within an inch of his life as he so claimed, then why did he wait until the next day to receive medical aid? Maybe he had his buddy Mark Osterman fix him up a bit to make it look more realistic.
