According to reports, that the founder of Violator Management Chris Lighty has died.

The 44 year-old Hip-Hop manager is said to have committed suicide, but reports cannot really confirm just yet. Lighty has managed Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Missy Elliott, and 50 Cent. And he was also a member of Boogie Down Productions. More details below..............

He was reportedly going through a difficult divorce, and it contributed greatly to his stress, sources with AllHipHop.com said.

And other sources claims that Lighty had an automatic, cryptic auto-reply email message that indicated Lighty said he would be hospitalized for an undisclosed ailment as of last night.

Jeff Robinson, former manager of Alicia Keys and Lighty’s friend tweeted,

“So very sad about Chris lighty..Great long time friend, fellow bronxite and peer…incredible businessman and person.”

Plus, Chris' last tweet was about the death of a friend as he posted,

"Rest in peace to my main man The Grand Incredible Dj Scott La Rock. I am still Criminal Minded. 8/27/87."

R.I.P Chris!
