Rock band Coldplay and rapper Jay-Z just announced their 2012 NYE three-night concerts starting December 29-31st.

Coldplay announced the news on their website saying:

"Good evening, we're pleased to announce that, on Monday, Dec. 31st, Coldplay will round off a memorable year by performing a very special co-headline show with Jay-Z at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn."

The NYE show will be preceded by two headline shows for the band at the Mohegan Sun Arena, Dec. 29, in Uncasville, CT. And at the Barclays on Dec. 30th. With Naturally 7 sponsoring both Dec. 29th and 30th shows.

Tickets for the Uncasville show will go on sale on Friday, November 16 at 10 AM ET, and for the two Brooklyn shows, Saturday, November 17 at 10 AM ET.

However, this will be the second time in two years since Coldpay has celebrated a new year with long-term friend and collaborator Jigga. 

The band having shared the bill with him at a Las Vegas concert in 2010. And recently, the rapper performed with the band & Rihanna at the London 2012 Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony.

Plus, Citi card-members will also have access to presale tickets for the Brooklyn shows beginning Tuesday, November 13, at 10 AM through Citi's Private Pass Program.
