Who are your influences? and favorite MC's and who would you like to work with?

"My influences are those who I grew up listening to like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and now Beyonce and Luke James. I love ARTISTS who are very creative and eclectic. I'm a sucker for music that conveys deep emotion and or an upbeat mood with a bit of lyric genius. [Laugh]"

How long have you been in the business?

"I've been singing, auditioning and performing since the age of 7 but I've technically been in the music industry since 2011 when I starting writing my debut promo album, 'Broken Boundaries of Existence.'"

So If you could compare yourself to an already established singer, who would that be and why?

"I couldn't compare myself to any other artist that's out right now. and my reason for saying that is because there isn't an artist that's OUT other than Adam Lambert and Frank Ocean who are making a statement for OUR side of the music industry. If I HAD to say, I'd reference Chris Brown. Because he allows himself to be musically artistic in a very self expressive way just like I am." 

Who sparked your interest in music or who do you look to as the "Music God of the All?" Lol

"Michael Jackson is the KING. He definitely left an incredible mark on this WORLD, yet alone the music industry. He was the first one who taught me by example the essence and fundamentals of being a phenomenal PERFORMER & CREATIVE GENIUS, not just a vocalist. He's definitely my "Music Hero". He's paved the way for artist such as myself and I and truly grateful."

What do you expect your fans get from you from when then tune into one our of your videos or songs etc?

I want my fans, who I call "Tae' Society" and my listeners to expect Me, Von Tae', because that's all that I can be. My MUSIC/ART is a self expression of who I am as a person. But like anyone, I like to play with my wild side and not be monotonous. I'm a very fun and warm spirited person who loves to make music for others to relate and have fun to.

What is the most difficult thing you had to endure in life?

"The most difficult thing that I've had to endure would definitely have to be the separation from my mother when I was younger. Growing up in a foster care was something that didn't scar me, but it definitely helped shape and mold the things that I now talk about in my music when I'm referring to my personal life.

I had no choice but to turn a stumbling block into a stepping stone."

What is the most difficult thing you had to endure in the music industry?

The most difficult thing that I've faced in the music industry is the fact that being an independent artist isn't easy. It's definitely not a walk in the park. It involves talent, faith, and a lot of hard work but I love it. It's my life, but I'm ready to get my record deal and then branch off and start my own later on in my career.

How does it feel to be finally getting your break or people recognizing your talents?

"Its a very LIBERATING feeling. It feels so good to express myself for who I am and get the overwhelming respect for it that I never even expected to get. But that was the purpose and the reason for me releasing my debut promo album, 'Broken Boundaries of Existence'. 

The purpose of that album was to introduce the world to Von Tae' and to gain respect from my peers alongside music executives as well."

Lastly, What do you hope to achieve from this, and final thoughts for other aspiring singers/rappers who want to get in the business?

I hope to achieve nothing but SUCCESS and to inspire everyone in the world to be who they are, and to be whatever they set their hearts and minds out to be. I want aspiring singer/rappers to remember to always BE YOURSELF and WORK HARD, not just for the money and fame, but because you love it.
