The actress announced the news on Twitter, and shared a penned letter to her Grandma, saying:

Hey Grandma, It's me, Shontae. You left me too soon, twin. I'm sorry I didn't make it time to comb your hair and tell you how fierce your silver streak was. I'm sorry I didn't make it in time to paint your nails and massage your feet. 

Im sorry i didnt make it in time to hear the same stories you tell me about how bad I use to be. I'm sorry I didn't hurry up and send you the new pics you wanted. 

I'm sorry I wasn't there soon enough so u could play in my hair and tell not to ever cut my crown. I'm sorry I didn't come sooner so you could see Supa's blue Mohawk. 

I'm sorry that I didn't make it in time to sit in your lap and tell you jokes like I'm still 5 years old. Im sorry I didn't make it in time to smooch you up and tell you how much I love you. 

Im sorry that its too late for me to hear you tell me I get my good looks from you. I'm sorry I won't hear you say you're proud of me anymore. I'm sorry for thinking you would never die.
