Kandi Burruss Hires Phaedra Parks & Sues Kim Zolciak For Copyright Infringement For "Tardy for the Party!"

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" Kandi Burruss has hired her best-friend Phaedra Parks to file a lawsuit against her former RHOA co-star and friend, Kim Zolciak for copyright fragment for "Tardy for Party," single (which sold over 102,000 copies).

According to the suit, filed on Tuesday in the US District Court of Georgia, Burruss and co-writer Rodney Richards are seeking "damages for copyright infringement due to defendants," unauthorized and unlawful licensing, distribution and sale of Plaintiffs' creative works, and namely a sound recording embodying a performance of a musical composition entitled "Tardy for the Party."

According to AccessAtlanta, Kandi reveals she was paid a one-time fee of $4000, and "didn't have an agreement in place concerning royalties, because she handed over the rights to Bravo.

She then added, "I know Kim was new to the music industry so I don't feel like she was purposely trying to wrong me. I just think she was misinformed."

However, it's clear that her agreement with Kim was a verbal agreement, and not a written agreement. So, the question is will she even get anything from this lawsuit?

  2. Why is Kandi playing to lose? Phaedra is NOT a good attorney. Kandi needs to get a good lawye and stop mixing business with friendship.
