LAWSUIT BREWING?! Miguel’s Billboard "SLAM DUNKED" Victim, Sustained Brain Damage From Accident?
June 04, 2013GWL StaffThere might be a lawsuit brewing against R&B singer Miguel after his over the top performance at the 2013 Billboard Awards Show last month, as a funny moment turned serious.
Lets rewind..., Miguel, who was performing his hit single "Adorn," was so caught up in the moment--according to the singer-- that he decided to jump the crowd, failing to make the jump and crash landed on two female fans instead.
Despite the second female walking away injury free, the first female, named Khyati Shah, wasn't so lucky as she is now reportedly suffering from serious head trauma due to the incident.
According to Shah's lawyer, Vip Bhola:
"Some of the difficulties she's experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury."And in other words, her symptoms are consistent with brain damage.
The victim's lawyer then adds, "an ice pack is designed to soothe a bruised elbow. My client should have been rushed to the hospital."
Miguel did apologize backstage to Shah during a TV interview and shortly after tweeted:
"Got caught up in the moment. Thank goodness Khyati is okay."He also had this to say:
"The natural inclination is to make sure everyone around you is okay right? But then it's like the show must go on, which is like professionalism, so that kicks in. As soon as the cameras are off I'm like running to the girl, making sure she's okay."However, Shah, who is a big fan of Miguel, is currently awaiting her test results from the neurologist and will have to decide whether or not she wants to move forward with a lawsuit.
Plus, Miguel has not yet responded to the reports.
