WORKPLACE PROBLEMS! Wendy Williams Husband Kevin Hunter PISSING OFF 'W.W' Employees!..They Want Him OUT!
July 29, 2013GWL StaffEven though, we all thought Wendy Williams called the shot on her show-- it turns out that her husband Kevin Hunter is pulling the strings (off camera), which is making the Wendy Williams staff miserable and they want him out.
According to one staff:
"Wendy is a strong, confident woman who isn't afraid of saying exactly what's on her mind -- even if it's dissing Beyonce. But off camera, her husband is the real boss. He makes all the decisions and has become more and more controlling as the show has become a success. He insists that all show questions be run by him."The staff adds:
"Hunter has had Williams change her cell phone number so she is not as accessible to the many staffers on the show. He's also hired her a new driver, who reports to him."And since the show aired back in 2008, things have gotten so intense that producers have been warned that all scripts must go to Hunter before Williams can even read them. And he must approve all the ideas for segments and celebrity guest bookings.
Both Williams and Hunter formed the production company Wendy Williams Productions together, and serve as executive producers on the show. So you'll think it might be fair for him to play such a vital part in the show. Too bad the employees have had enough of him.
"Wendy is smart. No one can understand why she does not tell him to f--k off," adds an NYdailynews source. "He is making everyone's lives miserable and is causing problems on an otherwise great show."
The source adds that when Williams made her Broadway debut in "Chicago" this month, he sorted through all the cards and gifts sent to the show and gave her just a portion of them. "He thinks she is being bothered and thinks he's looking out for her, but Wendy loves her fans," says the source.
Plus, in the past Hunter has taken heat for cheating on Williams-- though she later publicly forgave him-- and allegedly propositioning an employee on his wife's old radio show. She also didn't hold back about her husband's cheating ways during an interview with Bay Area station 94.9 saying:
"People will always, for the best of my life, throw darts at my situation." she said. "They will throw-- and we explained this to our son-- they will throw them at him, they've thrown them at me in my entire career, my husband. He knew what he was getting involved with, but it takes a special kind of man to be with a "Wendy Williams."
