Beyonce Won An Emmy For Her Super Bowl Halftime Show!

September 18, 2013Fred

32-year-old Beyonce has won her first Emmy Award as one of the early announcements that typically take place a week or so before the actual show.

Since the beginning of 2013 and seeing her face popping up on the covers of well-established magazines, we just knew it was Beyonce's year, and as the year progressed she's done nothing but sold out concerts for her "Mrs. Carter World Tour", and snagging awards.

Now, Beyonce takes home the Emmy for "Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Special" for her Super Bowl XLVII halftime performance back in February. If you remember correctly, after the songstress' performance in New Orleans., all lights were OUT in the Superdome.

The superstar Diva was also up for two other awards "Outstanding Special Class — Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program," and "Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control For A Miniseries, Movie or a Special."

I guess she can't win them all, well maybe next year. Congrats Beyonce!
