NEW VIDEO: J. Cole FINALLY Releases “Crooked Smile” Feat. TLC Visuals; Dedicates It To Slain 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones!
September 18, 2013GWL StaffRapper J. Cole has finally released the visuals for his TLC collaborated track, "Crooked Smile", which is off Cole's "Born Sinner" album (now available on iTunes).
The rapper and members of TLC, "T-Boz and Chilli" dedicate the emotional tribute video to Aiyana Stanley-Jones, an innocent seven-year-old killed during a 2010 police raid in Detroit.
In her honor, the message-heavy clip further examines the consequences of racial profiling. This is the part of Cole's occupation that he enjoys the most. “I don’t live for the accolades. I’m more so about the music. Making it, and putting it out. Those are the two best feelings.”
