Sean "Diddy" Combs is launching a new all music channel, Revolt TV.
Diddy's goal is to bring music back to TV since the onslaught of reality TV has taken over MTV and VH1. While it has taken him a couple of years to put the project in motion, we're finally in the home stretch and Diddy's idea is about to become reality. The channel set to go on air October 20th.
The hip hop mogul has reportedly partnered with Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Spotify and Beats by Dre just to name a few to bring social media to the channel. But from the beginning, the question has been what kind of music will be featured on Revolt TV? He answered those questions on Tuesday in a PSA and also announced a distribution deal with Time Warner Cable, which joins Comcast Corp.
So what kind of music will Revolt TV play? In Diddy's words, "The best of rock, the best of EDM, the best of Hip-Hop, the future of music."
