Macklemore And Ryan Lewis Too Busy To Make New Music; Plans To Regroup in 2014!
November 27, 2013FredRapper Macklemore and his partner in crime DJ Ryan Lewis have been riding the roller coaster that is "The Heist," for more than a year since their platinum debut album. The same album that quickly launched the pair into super stardom. Fans are now dying to know "what's next?"
The "Thrift Shop" rapper recently did an interview with Rolling Stone to answer just that. The first thing Macklemore plans to do is to finish up the remaining US dates (which runs through mid-December). And secondly, take a vacation trip to a tropical resort with his fiancee', Tricia Davis.
"We're gonna leave, disappear, evaporate and get out of America," he says. "Hopefully, we'll be in a place where no one knows who Macklemore is, and I'll just get back to why I love making music and life."Macklemore also revealed to Rolling Stone that he's scheduled to perform at a few concerts in Australia next March with Ryan and after that, it's back to the recording studio. He went on to say that he and Ryan will regroup and attempt to build on the success of their first attempt.
"After that, we're going to be in the studio for a long time," says the rapper. "We'll just buckle down and work until we have something to present to the world."That will be the biggest challenge ever? Don't you think. The music group has proved they were more than a "Thrift Shop" hit after releasing a few thought provoking tracks. However, they will now have to prove they're more than "The Heist!"
