On last night's season finale of NBC's "The Voice," of course the flawless Jamaican goddess Tessanne Chin was crowned this season's winner.

“The winner of ‘The Voice’ is Tessanne Chin,” host Carson Daly said. “Jamaica is celebrating with the United States tonight.”

“It is out of body,” Chin said, holding her trophy backstage after the NBC singing competition. “I feel like, is this really happening, you know? This can’t be real. Like unbelievable. Unbelievable.”

The Kingston-native said she had nearly given up on her dreams before landing a spot on the NBC singing competition. She called the experience “life-changing.” “I was literally at the end of a road, you know, and coming to a place in my life where I was like, am I going to keep doing this and feeling like I’m not getting anywhere? Or am I going to give this another shot? And thank God, thank God I was able to give it another shot,” she said.

“A better coach for me I could not find,” she told Adam Levine during the finale moments before Carson made the winner announcement. “I thank you every day for choosing me.”

I personally know that the entire West Indian community (including myself) is having a field day after finding out about the 28-year-old diverse Jamaican's big win.
