"Real Housewives of Atlanta" Recap: Mama Joyce Turns Up The Heat On Todd, Destroys His Manhood & Is Kandi's Ring "Thrifty?"

Damn! The men involved in "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" are having a tough time this season!
Last week's episode had Phaedra Park's husband Apollo Nida looking pitiful during the "Date From Hell" -- where they were filmed discussing inappropriate text messages with alleged husband snatching, Kenya Moore (read more on Kenya Moore Denies Sexting with Apollo here).
On last night's new episode, it was Kandi Burruss' fiance Todd Tucker's turn to have his manhood destroyed publicly by Kandi's mother Mama Joyce.
The show opened with Phaedra heading to Alabama for an embalming class study session while Apollo paid a visit to Cynthia Bailey's husband Peter Thomas for some marital advice, because he and Phaedra were not on speaking terms.
Peter explained to Apollo that Kenya's motive was to use him to embarrass his wife regardless of the truth and should have approached Phaedra about the Kenya Situation. Well duh!

Apollo could have used this advice way before he broadcast his dirty laundry to America. Better open up those wallets Apollo, because that was a very expensive mistake... only a gift will break that silence.
Next, Kandi and her best friend Carmen finally discussed the bitter relationship between Todd and Mama Joyce. Carmen explained to Kandi that she might have to give her mother some tough loving.
Highlights: Leading up to Todd's on air castration; crazy Kenya finally moves into her new home, Cynthia meets her daughters first boyfriend, Porscha goes condo hunting, and Todd convinces Kandi to ask her mother over to break the ice.
Mama Joyce then accepted the invite, comes over for dinner with Kandi and Todd, and she was ready for war not peace. She complained to the couple that Kandi "stepped herself down" when she accepted the cheap
At the end of the dinner, Mama Joyce told the couple it will take some time and convincing for her to actually support their relationship, Kandi sees this as a positive step in moving forward. That's just sad.
Todd was very blunt about the issue since the first episode of the hit Bravo show and had advised Kandi not to let extra stuff get in the way of her being with a good man. PREACH!
If what Kandi said is true about Mama Joyce liking Todd in the beginning, it's obvious that on-street gossip and the media have changed her from being a supporter to a cynic.

I think Mama Joyce had some hennessey in her purse during that episode because she was too turned up
ReplyDeleteUgh I wanted to slap her while she was sitting in that man's house eating his food going off on him like that. When she took that bite of pie I wanted her to choke on it with her selfish old self.
