Amanda Knox: "It Really Hit Me Like a Train & I WON'T GO BACK TO ITALY" While Fighting Back The Tears On "GMA"

Yesterday, we reported that Amanda Knox was convicted for a second time in the murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, and was found guilty by an Italy Jury.

Knox was sentenced to 28 years in prison for the 2007 murder on Thursday, along with her boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito getting a maximum 25 years.

This morning, the Seattle-native appeared on Good Morning America to chat with host Robin Roberts about the new conviction, which she says; "I didn't expect this to happen. I really expected so much better from the Italian justice system. It really hit me like a train."

She also added, "I won't go back to Italy without a fight." “These things happen,” she warned. “I’m not crazy, and will never willingly go back to Italy to serve that sentence."

An emotionally Knox spoke about her experience, saying: “Really horrible things can happen and you have to stand up for yourself and you have to believe that it’s going to be okay.”
