Despite releasing a statement on why she used the 1986 "Challenger" shuttle crash (that killed 7 crew members during take off) audio in her 'XO' single, "Drunk In Love" singer Beyonce not only has Target and Amazon on her back, she now has to deal with the wrath of NASA.

After getting a hold of the news reports, NASA responded to the singer's use of the memorial audio in her track (which is out for profit on her new album, Beyonce) by saying;

"The Challenger accident is an important part of our history; a tragic reminder that space exploration is risky and should never be trivialized,” a Nasa statement said. 

“Nasa works every day to honor the legacy of our fallen astronauts as we carry out our mission to reach for new heights and explore the universe.” 

June Scobee Rodgers, the widow of the Challenger’s late commander, Dick Scobee, also voiced her grievances: “We were disappointed to learn that an audio clip from the day we lost our heroic Challenger crew was used in the song XO. The moment included in this song is an emotionally difficult one for the Challenger families, colleagues and friends.”

So far, Beyonce continues to defend herself by saying, "the songwriters including the audio in tribute to the unselfish work of the Challenger crew with hope that they will never be forgotten."
She also added, "the song ‘XO’ was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you."
